I had ongoing migraine issues for many years. When you get a migraine, it prevents you from focusing on tasks, and can sometimes make you sick to your stomach. I had days where I couldn’t work and had to take the day off to lie in a dark room. I couldn’t get anything done.

Through my employer, Air Transport Services Group (ATSG), I visited the Marathon Health Center at Wilmington Airpark and met with Nurse Practitioner Lindsay George. She has been great and has always made sure that every one of my concerns has been met.

Lindsay fought for me to get the best care when I had to see a neurologist and made sure that I wasn’t prescribed something that was detrimental to my health. I now take Qulipta, a migraine medicine, along with an anti-depressant that also helps reduce my migraines.

I went from having two to three migraines a week to maybe one a month at most. I’ve been able to focus at work and think clearly for the first time in years. This has allowed me to design parts for flight simulators that has saved the company thousands of dollars.

If you are concerned about your health, go to Marathon Health. No matter how small you think it might be, it might change your life. — Jeffrey Joyce, Marathon Health Member
