Courtney Harwood brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing, branding, and business development to Marathon Health, with a special focus on digital engagement. As Chief Marketing Officer, Courtney drives growth, leads strategy and communications, and oversees marketing programs designed to improve the overall client experience and educate the market on the numerous cost and health benefits of Marathon Health’s innovative direct primary care (DPC) model.

Prior to joining Marathon Health, Courtney led the marketing and customer service teams for CLEAR, the digital identity biometric company most recognized at airports nationwide. She also served as the global Chief Marketing Officer for Xerox. Her achievements in online marketing include her successful launch of the Keep Shopping app while serving as Keep’s CMO and ultimately as its CEO, as well as her sales and marketing initiatives for online grocer FreshDirect. Before FreshDirect, Courtney held various roles on the marketing and circulation teams of the Financial Times and FT.com. She started her career in the advertising agency worlds of BBDO and Lowe Lintas, working on notable brands like Gillette, Visa, and Burger King.

Courtney holds a bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College and an MBA from Stern, New York University.
