Each time the Marathon Health clinician works with an employee, the focus is on providing individualized and action-oriented solutions for his or her unique situation. It’s important not only to find out what improvements a participant would like to make, but also to identify what is causing the problem and how ready he or she is to work toward making realistic changes. The possibilities are put in the hands of the participant to make good decisions about his or her own health, with coaching as needed along the way.
At Marathon Health, we have a unique system for coaching. Our behavior change system incorporates three methodologies: Motivational Interviewing, Prochaska’s Stages of Change, and Rapid Cycle Improvement. Together these methods respect the values and beliefs of the participant, recognize where they are in terms of readiness to change, and help set them on a path of rapid cycle action-oriented behaviors that will lead to changing the identified behavior. Our model for working with participants demonstrates significant changes to the risk profile in year one of operation of the onsite health center.
Our recruitment and training process ensures you will have the right clinician for your organization, a person who understands and relates to the culture of your organization. Our system for profiling and matching the clinician to your organization is the reason we are able to commit to and deliver the highest possible value for onsite health services.
